JUNO Pottery

THE STORY:

I’ve wanted to photograph the work of JUNO Pottery since I first saw some pieces in person years ago. There’s a unique beauty in the simplicity and elegance of her forms that really appeals to me. So you can imagine how excited I was when Jen enlisted me to create a collection of branding images. It has felt like exactly the right collaboration at the right time.

THE SHOOT:

This shoot serves as a testament for the power of collaborative advance planning. Creative branding imagery benefits greatly from understanding each business’s core values and vision, aesthetic inspirations and preferences, and the intended community you’re trying to attract and retain. I book clients well in advance of a session to ensure there is space for this exploration, creating a rich foundation to build a visual narrative that is aligned and effective. In the case of Juno Pottery we wanted to showcase the beauty of the material (often an unglazed clay) and the timelessness of her round and curved forms. This informed the color palette in soft neutrals mixed with natural linen and crisp painted wood.

When celebrating a line of products it’s also beneficial to show how well various items interact to encourage multiple purchases and longterm, devoted support. Groupings are very effective in creating that spark of curiosity and desire.

I’m thrilled with the results of this series of images and am excited to share some of my favorites with you here. Be sure to go check out JUNO Pottery HERE.
