Maadili Collective Jewelry

THE STORY

Maadili Collective fosters partnerships with small-scale artisan communities where opportunities are limited or non-existent in order to promote economic freedom and stability. Their beautiful horn products feature environmentally and sustainably sourced horn that would otherwise end up in a landfill, purchased directly from the cattle farmers, providing revenue for local communities in rural Uganda.

THE SHOOT

We felt it was important to show Maadili Collective’s expanding line of horn jewelry offerings worn on the body, thanks to beautiful model Karis, to help demonstrate their ease of wearability and showcase how beautifully the pieces can work together. We also felt it was essential to capture some groupings of the jewelry that featured the wide range of color and tone that is a signature aspect of the horn material. You’ll see collected here a selection of my personal favorites of both approaches.

View a selection of their horn jewelry (and other products!) rolling out this fall through the spring over on the Maadili Collective site HERE. And be sure to take a look at my earlier blog post featuring some of the wider range of products, including their gorgeous handwoven baskets.
